Time for Flakes
We had dinner together as a family two nights in a row. In my new stage of life this is a remarkable momentous occasion. Time together is rare and precious. They are busy, as they should be at their ages. Busy working and being with friends. Busy building their own futures and I wouldn't ask them to change this. But, occasionally, flakes begin to fall and I am given time. I do not know how it all comes to be, but when it snows a substantial amount, I seem to gain time. Time to spend with my family, time to think, time to cook and sometimes time for a nap. I have many friends who are not happy when the S word is in the forecast. They yearn for summer and longer, sunnier days. I, too, yearn for longer sunnier days, but if I have to be cold and the days have to be shorter, I say make it worthwhile and give me some snow! (my apologies to those who were caught in traffic and those without electricity from the last storm).
I am right there with you! I love snow days!
