Last week, I stopped in at my neighbor Donna's house. Donna is one of those people who just oozes creativity out of every pore. While that may not be the most flattering of images, she is such a lovely person, spending just a few minutes with Donna while she shares her current projects , makes me yearn for more hours in the day so I can lose myself in my craft studio. It never ceases to amaze me how a simple and uninspiring item, in the right hands, can become a thing of inspiration and beauty. One project in particular, struck me as an interesting feature for this forum. Donna graciously gave me permission to write about her latest project here.
Remember my pillow project that was made from an unused skirt. I just love these kind of things. Donna had a beautifully designed t-shirt from a vacation. Not wanting to get rid of the ill fitting shirt because of the memories, Donna was led to make it into a skirt! And a cute skirt it is too! Here are the pictures and the step by step process. Although, if you have even a minimum amount of sewing know how, this will be an easy hour project.
Lay out the shirt and straighten it up. Cut off the top portion under the arm/sleeve area. |
(My goats and sheep are almost all sheared for the warm weather. Next posts will update you about the beautiful bounty of fiber I now have. I thank God for providing us with sweet animals that give us wonderful products like wool. Can't wait to show you whats coming from TimberCreek Farm in the fiber department)
